I hope I will have the inspiration and opportunity to lift up black trans voices specifically. For now the best I can do is to reiterate what I said in the article, that causing confusion is a core function of white supremacy. I wrote about a comedy special that some people are trying to make about trans people, but is not about trans people at all. It is about white people who hide behind marginalized statuses to punch down on Black people. That behavior is very, very important to understand — mostly for white people so we can learn to do better.
